Ladies and Gentleman,
We commend you and thank you.
Between your taste and our hard work these last five years, we now have the tremendous opportunity to turn EP Theater into a fully licensed and permanent playhouse in Chicago.
And we need your support.
Having recently received the MacArthur Performing Arts Venue Grant, we are working with the foundation and Northworks Architects this summer to upgrade our beautiful Pilsen home with new bathrooms, lighting and sound equipment, air conditioning, and much more. These additions will not only drastically improve the production quality and cozy atmosphere of the theater, they will more importantly enable us to run our outreach program year-round and gain 30% more stage time.
With the grant covering our basic construction expenses, we need an additional $5,000 to fulfill our holistic vision for the theater and help ensure the theater’s continued production of compelling work for the next ten years and beyond. We have accomplished a lot in the last few months; your contributions will help us transition out of this first phase of rebuilding and support the numerous improvements to our physical space and programs we have planned. It is going to be amazing.
On that note, we are excited to announce that EP Theater will reopen on August 12th, 2011.
What show do we open with? How about a Classical Orchestra Spectacle with master cellist and lady of art rock duo The Loneliest Monk, Michelle Morales!
Our season will also feature two new full-length pieces by Chicago writers, a bi-monthly music series, and provide other theater companies the space to produce their work.
Your donations are tax-deductible.
Sincerely,
-EP Theater
